First Pick Up: TapRoot CSA Dinah's Sourdough

Happy Wednesday all:

I just wanted to send a quick email with some "How to's" on picking up your summer/fall CSA shares from Dinah's Sourdough. The Shares start next week and we have been busy organizing and prepping for this change in season. We're looking forward to sharing food with you over the next 24 weeks!

First welcome to; or welcome back to; the TapRoot CSA, as  a member you folks will receive your designated box of veggies, fruit or meat every week from the first week of July to mid December.

Your share will be dropped off at Dinah's on Tuesdays at 3:30 pm to be picked up by 5:00 pm (there is usually a staff person there a little later so if you come shortly after 5 just give a knock on the door).  The staff at Dinah's will check your name off the list and make sure you get all of your items for the week! Meat shares and any frozen fruit or vegetables will be taken out of coolers, it may be helpful to have a couple of re usable bags on hand to help carry your items.

If you can't make it in before the closing (5:00 pm) Dan has mentioned they have some cooler space, so please check in to see if you can pick up your share the the next day 902 454 4325 (but please don't assume this is always an option, make sure you check in with the folks at Dinah's!). If shares are not picked up they will be donated to the café.

Your share comes in a cardboard box, feel free to bring the boxes home, but please return them the following weeks - we reuse these boxes until they've had their fill. Alternatively you could bring a reusable bag and simply take your items out of the box, leaving it for us to pick up later on.

We will post what is in your share every Friday, you can find the posting on our website. If there is a particular item in the share that doesn't suite your palette there will be a SWAP box available to swap your items.

E-mail is our main thread of communication, however if you ever need/want to give us a call anytime please do: 902 542 3277

And finally we would like to say thank you for choosing us as your farmers! We are looking forward to sharing food with you for the next six months. We also host events on the farm from time to time. You are welcome to stop by whenever you like just to say hello, and see where your food is coming from.

Let me know if you need anything else from us? Enjoy your produce/meat/fruit and I'm looking forward to meeting you all soon!

Kindly,

Brogan
