We are currently investigating an issue in the potatoes that went out yesterday and today. They were harvested and washed just in time for the share making Wednesday morning, and though there were some quality issues when the shares were being made, over the past 24 hours the problem has gotten a lot worse.
We suspect that it is some sort of bacterial rot, but have to do some more research before we can say for sure.
They are totally okay to eat, but of course cut off the brown spots, which only go skin deep, and consume asap, as the storage capabilities will be decreased.
Thanks to all those who helped us identify this problem by emailing! We will keep in touch with all members about this issue, and cross our fingers that the entire potato crop is not affected.
