Reason # 2 to join a CSA is to enjoy a steady supply of locally grown food. Join us for a live chat on how we plan and grow and store food for a yearly supply. Send us your questions or ask them during the live discussion. This is a time to connect with Josh and Patricia to learn more about what they grow, how they grow it and how they organize the production to ensure a steady supply. It is causal and intended to be a time to learn more about what the farm and the people are all about. We host at 8:45 PM in consideration for anyone who has younger peeps to put to bed. However, we realize that it is also adult bedtime too. If you have a time that you think would better suit people let us know. Many thanks!

Maple Syrup Bulk Order

Leanne from Hutchinson's Maple Syrup emailed to ask if we would like to participate again this year in a Maple Syrup bulk purchase. Sure, why not? The idea came up a few years ago when we were brainstorming ways to provide increased value to our CSA members and support other local producers.  You can order as many as you like at a bulk order price. We need at least  a $1000 order or 40 bottles sold to get the discounted price. 

Order cut off is Dec 7th.  Maple Syrup is delivered the week of December 12th (no matter what your invoice says, it is delivered week of Dec 12)

I have just added it to the Add-On section - under bulk buying option.  Please pay for this with direct deposit, cash or cheque, it is so much easier!  Put in an envelope with your name and the number of bottles you are paying for. If you are not able paypal is okay, it is just more steps and fees but we do understand. 

Please take note that no mater when you order until Dec 7th - it is arriving on the week of December 12th

Licensed Free Range Turkeys on add on's

We have a limited amount of frozen turkeys, fed non-GMO local grain, and raised here at the farm.

They range from 7.5-10.5lbs and are $4.25/lb.

Available now until Christmas while they last!

Spaghetti Squash Chow Mein

This is one of those recipes that you can use anything in your fridge. As long as you have the spaghetti squash, and spices, substitute away!



Cut a spaghetti squash in half length wise and scoop out seeds. Lay skin side up in a 13x9 Pyrex and pour 1/2 inch of water in the bottom of the pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes, until flesh is very tender.Break apart insides with for to look like noodles!

In a small bowl whisk together the soy/teriyaki, garlic, brown suger, lemon juice/ginger, and white pepper then set aside.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and celery and cook, stirring often,until tender, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in cabbage and carrots until heated through about 1 minute.

stir in spaghetti squash and sauce until well combined about 2 minutes. serve immediately.

Serving Size: 4 servings
